How to transfer your domain

Before you start

Transfer a domain name to Register.it is fast and easy. Before you start the procedure, make sure you meet the requirements to do it.

  • Ensure you have the Authorization Code (or Auth-Code)
  • Check the domain status (it must be 'ok')
  • The domain data must not be hidden by private Whois
  • The Owner email address must be active
  • You must have domain data as indicated in whois, you may be required to enter the same.

A few simple steps

To ensure the correct transfer procedure, follow our instructions.

  • Enter your domain name and select the extension you are interested in
  • Choose the DNS to transfer your website to us and fill the form
  • Read the email that arrives to the domain owner and click on the link
  • Enter auth code
  • If data are correct, the procedure can take up a few days (24h for .it extension)

*The transfer of a domain costs only 0,45 € and includes the first year of registration, after which the domain can be renewed at the standard price. Transfer can be applied to all major domain extension (.com, .net, .org and .eu). Maximum 3 transfers per customer. Registrations exceeding this limit will be charged a different price. All our offers are subject to restrictions, read all conditions and deadlines.
