• How can I change owner/assignee for .it?

  Print, fill, sign and fax the documentation that might be found in the Control panel and have this letter signed by the current domain owner, then send it via fax to Register.it to +39 035 3230312 or via email to the address written on the letter.
  We remind you that the assignee change is not completed if you do not send the signed letter.
  

• I would like to request a change of registrant for a domain .com, .info, .net, .org. What is the procedure and how long does it take?

  Access to your Client Area.
  On completion of payment, prior and new owner will receive an email and they will need to confirm the modification. If they both approve it the procedure will modify the registration data and the WHOIS database will be updated with the information you entered at the end of the operation, adding one year of service to the current domain expiry.
  Warning: If the prior owner email address doesn’t work feel free to contact our Customer Care that will provide you the alternative procedure you can follow to modify the data.

• What happens after changing owner of a domain .com, .info, .net, or .org ?

  At the end of the procedure, both the new and previous registrant will receive a notification email confirming successful completion of the operation, summarising the data prior to the update and the new data supplied. As required in the latest Icann policies, the organisation that decides on the rules for managing domains com net and org, it will not be possible to transfer the domain to another registrar within 60 days of the change to ownership.
  
  

• How can I change the assignee of a domain with a different extention?

  If you wish to request a change of owner for a domain whose extension is other than .it, .com, .info, .net, .org, .eu fill out this form. The service manager will contact you as soon as possible to provide a personalised estimate.

• Which services are included in owner/assignee service?

  The operation costs as much as a domain registration, and if the domain ends with a .it extension maintained by another Maintainer, the price also includes its transfer to our management and, therefore, all the included services that Register.it alone offers to its clients free of charge!
  We remind you that the annuity is added to the end of the change owner procedure.
  In case of .eu and .it domains maintained by different registrars, one year is added starting from the date of finalisation of the purchase order; for .com, .net, .org and .it domains maintained by Register.it, one year is added from the date of expiry of the domain. For other extensions the expiration date is set by the respective Authorities.

• How long does the change of owner/assignee take?

  The time needed from the moment the documentation is sent to Register.it is about 2/3 days. If the documentation is not correct, we will contact you to amend it.
